[ ahhhh. okay. makes sense. she swallows hard, brushing at her eyes, and tries to put her feelings in a box. or - rather, someone else's. isaac might get a bit of it, the anguish, self-hatred, panic and guilt. ]
Do you wanna sit down with me a bit? I should tell you all the stuff I've heard this week.
But ... Beau, whatever you're feeling is -- fine, alright? Look, you came after me last week and you took care of me, so... I don't want you to like...
[ feel ... like she has to hide her feelings ... around him.
he doesn't say any of that, instead trailing off. ]
[ It makes her laugh a little! hiccupy laughter, but laughter all the same. she pulls him close when he tucks in, and - there's a sensation of peace, from her. ]
So you know how I went through the hospital, right? Hunter and -- [ deep breath. ] Hunter and his group found a morgue. And the shit we found in each is... why I feel like your ghost theory might not be wrong.
Most of it was just horrific shit, but. We found patient files. Four of them. And they all said shit like - the patients were suffering from a weird sickness. All the notes were in blue pen.
The morgue team found a list of names of previous guests, and research notes. The research notes talked about how people were - losing their minds, but their bodies stayed functional. Like monsters. The hospital had people sewn together chasing us around.
[ she closes her eyes. ] I think this might be an experiment. I think we're experiments.
... creepy. [ quietly, yet he doesn't seem shocked. ] Someone ... told me that when we first got here. That they thought all this was an experiment. Maybe they were right. But what's the point? What's the end game?
I don't know. Maybe to see if he can make monsters.
Me and a couple others have been theorizing that he wants bodies. Victims and monsters. So he can see he long they last as reanimations, after they're dead, or transformed.
... if we can stop the transformations, and the murders, if they're two separate things--then the house rules won't need to account for monsters or trials or whatever and they'll change and this will all stop.
Yeah. Peach said that was technically possible. We can change the rules.
[ she nods a little. she's - struggling, here and there, hunter's emotions very, very present in her head, but she's trying. ] The letter was next to useless. He didn't really answer our questions.
Yeah, that's what I mean! That's how we change them. We stop the monster transformations. When I asked for a clue she ... well, she told me to talk to people.
Yeah. She keeps telling me to talk to people too. [ beau has gathered it's the power of friendship that's gonna turn the tides, probably.
she pulls him a little closer, trying to stay present. ]
We asked him a few questions. Like what are we here for, why is he busy. Why did he hire the girls. It was all non-answers. Like "they're better at talking to guests, sorry for the unforeseen delays, glad you're working together, bye."
I guess maybe all of us are learning different things? That's the only reason I can think of. You think maybe we should get everybody together to talk?
[ a pause, and, very flatly: ] Somehow that's exactly the proof I'd expect Master Blue to pull and none of us have even met the guy.
Right? [ she says, slightly indignant. ] Fucker doesn't even have time for his guests.
But - yeah. I think you're right. We should probably have some sort of group meeting soon. Secrets don't usually do any of us any good. Especially if we're trying to make it out of here alive.
We're all in this together, right? Guess it's best if we work together, too. How should we do that, though? Just ... let them know? When should we do this?

I talked to Peach, about using my powers to talk to the dead. She said she'd look into it.
She implied it pretty strongly, but if that's a thing she can even look into, it ... means the dead are still here. We just can't see them.

One of the girls told me!
If he wants us for something like that, why would stopping the transformations be in our power--
Unless ... the girls and Master Blue are working towards different goals?

I talked to him. Me and Phoenix, we rang the blue bell. Couldn't be assed to show up to talk to us, but he sent us a letter.

it's either gone or quiet, because all that's there now is his concern and care for her. ]
